The Problem
Candidate URLs from Sales Navigator break everywhere else
Recruiters who use LinkedIn Sales Navigator for passive candidate sourcing run into a consistent issue: the lead profile links they find in Sales Navigator are internal URLs — linkedin.com/sales/lead/ links that require an active Sales Navigator session to open.
These links can't be stored in your ATS as a candidate's LinkedIn profile URL. They can't be sent to a hiring manager or shared with a colleague who doesn't have Sales Navigator. They break the moment the session expires. And if your ATS expects a standard linkedin.com/in/ URL for sourced candidates — which most do — the Sales Navigator link simply won't work.
