Resolve Sales Navigator Leads Directly in Microsoft Excel
The NameToProfile Excel add-in installs a "Name to Profile" ribbon tab inside Microsoft Excel for Windows. Select a column of LinkedIn Sales Navigator lead URLs, click Resolve, and the public LinkedIn profile URLs — plus confidence scores — appear directly in the next columns. No exports, no copy-paste, no leaving Excel.
What It Does
A native ribbon tab inside Excel on Windows
The NameToProfile Excel add-in is a native Windows desktop integration for Microsoft Excel — not a web add-in. After install, Excel shows a new Name to Profile tab in the ribbon with an Open Resolver button that opens a task pane on the right side of the workbook. From the task pane you enter your API key once, see your remaining credits, select your data, and resolve.
The add-in reads your selected cells in Excel, batches the Sales Navigator URLs, sends them to the NameToProfile resolver API, and writes the resolved public LinkedIn profile URLs back into adjacent columns alongside a confidence score for each row.
- Ribbon tab "Name to Profile" with Open Resolver button
- Task pane with API key entry, live credit usage display, and Resolve button
- Select one or two columns in your sheet — either just Sales Navigator links, or names + links
- Resolved public LinkedIn profile URLs written to the adjacent column
- Confidence score returned per row so you can filter or flag low-confidence matches
- Up to 100 URLs per batch request — select more rows to run multiple batches
- Credits deducted from your existing NameToProfile account balance
Ideal for
- Sales operations teams managing prospect lists in Excel
- RevOps analysts preparing CRM import files
- Agencies delivering lead lists as Excel workbooks
- Teams standardized on Microsoft 365 desktop Excel on Windows
System requirements
- Windows 7 or later (Windows 10/11 recommended)
- Microsoft Excel 2013 or later, 64-bit
- .NET Framework 4.7.2 (installed automatically by the setup if missing)
- A NameToProfile account with available credits
- Note: Excel for Mac and Excel on the web are not supported — this is a Windows desktop add-in
How To Install and Use It
From download to first resolution in under 5 minutes
Download the installer from your dashboard
Sign in to your NameToProfile dashboard and open the Downloads section. Download the Excel add-in installer package (a ClickOnce setup.exe). Save it anywhere on your Windows machine.
Run setup.exe to install
Close Excel if it's open, then double-click setup.exe and follow the prompts. The installer checks for .NET Framework 4.7.2 and installs it if needed, then registers the add-in with Excel. You may see a Windows SmartScreen or security prompt — click More info → Run anyway to proceed.
Open Excel and find the "Name to Profile" tab
Launch Microsoft Excel. A new Name to Profile tab will appear in the ribbon at the top. Click it, then click the Open Resolver button — the resolver task pane slides in on the right side of your workbook.
Paste your API key
Copy your API key from the NameToProfile dashboard (Settings → API Key), paste it into the task pane, and click Save. Your current credit usage — period, used, remaining, monthly limit — will appear below the key. The key is stored securely in the Windows registry on your machine and auto-loads on every Excel launch.
Select your data and click Resolve Selection
In your worksheet, select a range covering either one column of Sales Navigator lead URLs, or two adjacent columns (lead names + lead URLs). Then click Resolve Selection in the task pane. The add-in sends the selected rows to the resolver in batches of up to 100, writes the resolved public LinkedIn profile URL into the adjacent column, and adds a confidence score in the column after that. A status message in the task pane shows progress throughout.
Batches of more than 100 URLs are split automatically — just select all the rows you want to resolve and the add-in handles chunking. Credits are deducted only for successful API calls; failed rows return an error message in place of a URL.
