Does it find contacts that aren't on the page?

Accepted Answer

No — ContactHarvest reads the email addresses and phone numbers present on the page you're viewing. It doesn't source contacts from a database.

Does extracting contacts cost credits?

Accepted Answer

No. Local extraction, highlighting, capture, crawl, bulk and export are all free. The only feature that uses credits is optional AI verification — 1 credit per batch of up to 25 uncertain candidates — and it's off by default.

Question 3

What does AI verification actually do?

Accepted Answer

For the uncertain candidates only, it asks an AI 'is this really a contact?' — recovering ones the local rules missed and dropping false positives (like a date that looks like a phone). Results get a ✓ verified, ⚠ review, or ✗ rejected badge. It does not check deliverability or whether a number is live.

What's the difference between Basic and Premium?

Basic (any valid API key) gives emails, phones, pairs, highlight, copy, export, confidence/role filters, Auto/Manual mode and AI verification. Premium unlocks Capture + Sessions, whole-site Crawl, Bulk URL lists, the site blacklist and allow/block filters. Premium activates at a 250-credit balance — that threshold is just an indicator and is never deducted.

What do the confidence scores mean?

High = strong sources like a mailto:/tel: link or schema/JSON-LD; Medium = a validated or de-obfuscated value, or one inside a contact block; Low = found only in plain page text or a suspicious shape. Hover the dot to see why it scored that way — the uncertain ones are exactly what AI verification can confirm or reject.

Can it collect from many pages or a whole site?

Yes (Premium). Capture mode accumulates a deduped list as you browse and saves it to Sessions; Crawl walks a whole site (set depth, page cap and delay, with a robots.txt Safe Mode); Bulk runs a pasted list of URLs with retries and resume. All of it is local and free.

What formats can I export?

Copy emails or phones (one per line), copy pairs as TSV, or download CSV, XLSX, JSON or TXT.

What leaves my browser — is it private?

Accepted Answer

By default everything stays in your browser; the only routine network calls validate your API key and read your credit balance. When you turn AI verification on, it sends only the uncertain candidates being checked — each value plus a short snippet and the page URL/title — never full page HTML, cookies or form fields. A Privacy mode and a 24-hour request counter let you see and limit outbound calls.

Does it work on Firefox, or offline?

There's a dedicated Firefox build with the same features. Extraction works offline once your key is cached; AI verification and balance checks need a connection.
